Top Mountain Bike Course Gets Better
The mountain bike trail at Fountainhead Regional Park in Fairfax Station, is known as one of the best mountain bike course on the the East Coast.
Recently a great great course has gotten better. Funded through grants, a great deal of work has recently been done to take this highly technical course and make it more sustainable and environmentally balance. Grading, switch backs, and other erosion controls have both improved the course and the surrounding environment. Currently around 8-9 miles long, when the work is complete it will be nearly ten miles.
